 How Sleeve Surgery is Done?

Laparoscopic sleeve surgery (Key hole surgery) aims to reduce the volume of the stomach about 80- 90% by stapling it vertically. This volume reduction in sleeve brings advantage of food portion control. Reduced volume of stomach is tailored for your healthy nutrition; your nutrition will be self sufficient. Another advantage of sleeve gastrectomy is removal of hunger hormone; Ghrelin. This hormone is located at the upper portion of your stomach, which is removed during surgery. These advantages of sleeve surgery will make you lose weight and makes it easy to maintain it.

Using special devices such as stapling devices and suture materials for sleeve surgery needs experience. Bariatric surgery should not be a part time job for the surgeon.

In our sleeve surgeries we are using safety suture technique. We are oversewing the stapling line for preventing bleeding and leakage.

Another crucial point for safety for bariatric surgery is; performing surgeries in health facilities which has high standards.

Our team and hospital is accredited from ministry of health for bariatric surgery standards.
