Dr. Kaplan Baha Temizgönül was born in 1981. He completed his medical education at Pamukkale University, one of the centers where stomach reduction surgeries were first performed in Turkey, in 2005.
While working as a physician in a private hospital between 2006 and 2008, he took the United States Medical Licensing Examination exams.
He completed his General Surgery Specialization between 2009 and 2014 at Bakırköy Training and Research Hospital, where advanced laparoscopy training was intensively applied. During this time, he wrote a thesis on pain in laparoscopic surgery and attended advanced laparoscopy training and robotic surgery training.
For his compulsory service duty, he worked at Kilis State Hospital between 2014 and 2016, performing war surgery.
Dr. has been interested in Bariatric Surgery since his assistantship training. Kaplan Baha Temizgönül, In 2016-2017 he worked on obesity surgery with Prof. Dr. Koray Tekin.
He has established his own obesity surgery team since 2017 and currently provides services in his own practice.
In 2019-2020, he gave education in English to students of the Faculty of Medicine at Altınbaş University in the branch of general surgery.
